Batch cooking is a simple way to ensure you have plenty of vegan food throughout the week and spend less time in the kitchen. I’d like to share a tip on reheating rice. Always let cooked rice cool completely before storing it in an airtight container in the fridge, and avoid keeping it for too long. Once cooled overnight, rice produces resistant starch, which may help reduce blood sugar spikes. When reheating rice, instead of sprinkling water, place one ice cube per 150 grams on top of the rice. As it heats, the ice slowly melts and creates steam from above, helping the rice stay soft and fluffy rather than dry. Heat for about 1 to 2 minutes, then remove any remaining ice and gently stir before serving.
