The Au Lac people have a saying: “Oriental medicine heals sick people, Western medicine heals people’s sicknesses.” The goal of Oriental medicine is to restore “body balance.” The regimen chosen by an Oriental medicine practitioner is usually patient-specific and customized to their body type. Same kind of sickness, but I may give different prescriptions due to the different body structure of each person. Moreover, the timing of the prescription is different. Therefore, I prescribe different remedies.
