This includes moist or semi-moist food, or dry kibble softened with water. Always follow your veterinarian’s specific feeding instructions after surgery. To help prevent future tooth extractions, ongoing dental care is essential. Vets may recommend dental treats, therapeutic dental diets, water additives, gentle toothbrushing, or mouth-rinsing products to reduce plaque buildup and keep your cat-person’s mouth healthier long term.
