Shining World Award Laureates - Our Guiding Lights, Part 2 of 3

Today’s show, Part 2 of 3, will feature individuals and animal friends who were honored for their noble deeds. In Brazil, a couple was bestowed with the Shining World Earth Protection Award for replanting an entire forest. In the United States, Tanner Wilson, a teenager from Arkansas, was conferred the Shining World Generosity Award. In order to purchase an electric wheelchair for his good friend, Brandon Qualls, to replace his manual one, Tanner worked at a local car repair shop in his spare time to save money for two years. In Japan, an Akita dog named Mame was also bestowed with the Shining World Hero Award for helping rescue a woman in her 90s.
