Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area is located in Datong township, a northeastern county of Yilan in Formosa (Taiwan), referred to as the “Heaven on Earth”, featuring glorious primeval forests, eight awe-inspiring nature trails, the Jioujhihze Hot Spring, Maosing - a scenic trail built upon historic Bong Bong railway, and Cueifong Lake, the largest high mountain lake in Formosa (Taiwan).
