Just don’t forget it. Anytime you do good to someone, the merit will come back to you multiplied. Anytime you do bad to someone, the bad karma will come multiplied. Because karma doesn’t always come immediately. So you might not think, “Oh, that is the consequence” of the bad thing you do. But it will come and multiplied definitely. Always, before you do something and you have the feeling that it’s not good, or you know it’s not good, or you’re in doubt that it’s not good at all, then you must think again whether or not Lord Jesus would do that, whether or not the disciple of the Buddha would do that to the Buddha, or the Buddha’s work, or Lord Jesus’ work. Anything you do, you have to think whether or not it hurts anyone, or it does good to anyone, even just a small thing to make them happy or to make them sad. It will all come back to you, many, manyfold over. So be careful what you’re doing. Think well before you take action. […]
What you think inside your head, inside your mind, absolutely also produces consequences, bad or good. So remember that – not just your action, but your thinking. If anything you think is improper, cut it off right away. Nourish only good, noble, beneficial thoughts for others and for yourself; especially for others because it will bring you beautiful, beautiful beneficial merit to yourself and your loved ones. We can never have too much of that – the benefit to others, your loved ones, and your own life, now and hereafter. Anything beneficial to others will benefit yourself and it will build a gate to stop you from ever falling into hell. Remember that. […]
