Zucchini plants do better with frequent harvesting when fruits haven’t matured yet. By harvesting every couple of days at a medium size, about 6-8 inches (15-25 centimeters), and removing oversized fruits, the plant can put its energy into making more stems and flowers instead of using it to produce fewer larger fruits. This way more fruits are yielded with better flavor and texture. Make a clean cut instead of twisting the fruit off and be sure to monitor the size on a daily basis to avoid over-maturation.
