Normally, I don’t get involved with neighbors. If they say hallo, I say hallo. That’s it. And maybe Christmas or something, we bring presents, and that’s it. If they need something, they come. Our size to the elephant(-person), and her size to the Dalmatian(-person). Suppose you are attacked by three elephant(-people), you wouldn’t be OK. No?
