Caring for our environment while staying clean and hygienic is important for all of us, so I would like to share a tip on how to eliminate bad odors from clothing using non-toxic household staples like vinegar, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Vinegar has a strong smell, but it is great at removing sweat and musty odors. Just submerge your clothes in vinegar prior to washing for an hour or let it sit overnight. Baking soda is useful since it absorbs sweat odors. Simply apply baking soda and water paste to the affected regions and wash the clothing following a short period. It is especially helpful for getting rid of stubborn smells. Lastly, pre-treating an area with hydrogen peroxide can break down the odor-producing compounds in sweat. Only use this on whites, as peroxide is also a bleaching agent. Your clothes will smell fresh in no time!
